Notkun skipta
Kerfisbundnar skoðanir á slysum barna [1] og á íhlutunum í umferðaröryggi [2][3] bera stöðugt kennsl á rétta notkun skipta sem aðalverndandi þátt. Orðið sem skiptir máli er rétt — misnotkun er algeng, og stóll sem er settur laust eða með snúnum reimunum virkar langt undir mati sínu.
Á langri ferð er þess virði að athuga uppsetninguna áður en lagt er af stað frekar en við fyrsta stopp, og þess virði að vita að mörg lönd bjóða upp á ókeypis skoðunartjänustu.
