Mlađa djeca podnose vezivanje kraće vrijeme, a posebno smjernice za dojenčad savjetuju protiv vrlo dugih neprekinutih perioda u autosjedalici, jer polusjedeći položaj održavan satima može utjecati na disanje kod vrlo malih. Za malu djecu i stariju djecu ograničenje je ponašajno, a ne fiziološko, ali nije manje stvarno.

Upotreba vezivanja

Sistematski pregledi povreda djece u saobraćaju [1] i intervencija u sigurnosti na putevima [2][3] ponovo identifikuju ispravnu upotrebu vezivanja kao glavni zaštitni faktor. Riječ koja radi posao je ispravna — zloupotreba je česta, a sjedalo instalirano labavo ili sa uvijenim trakama obavlja daleko ispod svoje ocjene.

Na dugom putovanju vrijedi provjeriti instalaciju prije polaska, a ne na prvoj pauzi, i vrijedi znati da mnoge zemlje nude besplatne usluge provjere.
