Sa shpesh duhet të ndaloni gjatë një udhëtimi të gjatë?
Për çdo dy orë për shoferin, më shpesh për fëmijët e vegjël, dhe një makinë elektrike do të dëshirojë të ndalojë në një interval të ngjashëm gjithsesi.
Shoferi vjen i pari
Lodhja e degradon kohën e reagimit, vëmendjen dhe perceptimin e rrezikut, dhe e bën këtë gradualisht sa që ju jeni një gjykatës i dobët i gjendjes suaj. Rishikimet e faktorëve të rrezikut në sigurinë rrugore e vendosin atë vazhdimisht midis kontribuesve të rëndësishëm [3].
Udhëzimi konvencional — një pushim prej të paktën pesëmbëdhjetë minutash për çdo dy orë — është pragmatik dhe jo i nxjerrë nga një prag të mprehtë. Është gjithashtu, për fat të mirë, afër asaj që një makinë elektrike moderne dëshiron; shpjegimi ynë për ndalesat e karikimit mbulon arsyen.

Fëmijët kanë nevojë për të më shpesh
Fëmijët e vegjël tolerojnë mbajtjen për periudha më të shkurtra, dhe udhëzimet për foshnjat në veçanti këshillojnë kundër periudhave shumë të gjata pa ndërprerje në një sedilje makine, sepse një pozicion gjysmë të drejtë i mbajtur për orë të tëra mund të ndikojë në frymëmarrje te të vegjlit. Për fëmijët e vegjël dhe ata më të mëdhenj, kufizimi është më shumë sjellës se sa fiziologjik, por nuk është më pak real.

Përdorimi i mbajtjes
Rishikimet sistematike të lëndimeve nga aksidentet për fëmijët [1] dhe të ndërhyrjeve për sigurinë rrugore [2][3] e identifikojnë vazhdimisht përdorimin e saktë të mbajtjes si një faktor mbrojtës të rëndësishëm. Fjala që bën punën është e saktë — keqpërdorimi është i zakonshëm, dhe një sedilje e instaluar lirshëm ose me rripa të kthyer performon shumë poshtë vlerësimit të saj.
Në një udhëtim të gjatë, është e vlefshme të kontrolloni instalimin para se të nisen, në vend që ta bëni në ndalesën e parë, dhe është e vlefshme të dini se shumë vende ofrojnë shërbime kontrolli falas.
